St. Pius x parish is an oblate parish located at Charrlatabad Christian town Samungli Road in the Apostolic Vicariate of Quetta Balochistan. We are two priests serving in the parish namely Rev. Fr. Maqsood Nazir OMI the parish priest and Rev. Fr. Khawar Mehboob OMI his assistant. This is a vast parish in terms of its area in Quetta Vicariate. There are two over two hundred Catholic families very devotional to their Christina catholic faith. The concerned parish holding seven sub stations and some small villages namely; Christian Town, Mariam colony, Ghar colony, FC colony, PAF Base, Pishin, and Chaman. Most of the parishners are educated having good reputation in Governmental as well as private sector in Quetta city, however in its suburbs people are uneducated affiliated to senanitary works. Keeping in mind the charism of the Founder St. Eugene De Mazenod we continue to serve the neediest. We have different groups in the parish such as legion of Mary, Sunday Schools, youth groups, and boys association are very much helpful for the parish activities. As the Founder says “look at the poor through the eyes of the crucified savior” we the Oblates reaching out to the people marginalized, neglected and the most abundant in our care through the Apostolic Vicariate of Quetta Balochistan.
