Gujrat (Urdu: گُجرات‬‎), is a city in Punjab Province in Pakistan. It is the capital of Gujrat District and the 18th largest city of Pakistan. Along with the nearby cities of Sialkot and Gujranwala, Gujrat forms part of the so-called Golden Triangle of industrial cities with export-oriented economies
Geography
Gujrat is an ancient city of Pakistan located between two famous rivers, Jhelum and Chenab Rivers. It is bounded to the northeast by Jammu and Kashmir, to the northwest by the Jhelum River, to the east and southeast by the Chenab River, separating it from the districts of Gujranwala and Sialkot; and to the west by Mandi Bahauddin District. Gujrat consists of three Tehsils which are Sarai Alamgir, Kharian and Gujrat.

Holy Rosary Parish Gujrat is one the parishes in Islamabad/Rawalpindi diocese. It’s been known for missionary endeavors especially with regard to the hospital, school, hostel and Catholic School. Holy Rosary Catholic Hospital was hallmark within the parish which was established with the help of American Bishops in 1960 and it was the only hospital in those days. One can say that it is a widespread parish that includes many stations and sub stations like Lalamusa, Jalalpur Jatan, Phalia, Mandi Bahaudin , Malkwal, Bhember. There are number of religious communities rendering their tireless services sharing different responsibilities with the parish such as Boys’ hostel is run by the Charity Brothers, and School by the Dominican nuns.
First Pakistanis priests who worked there was the present Rev. Fr. Samson Shukardin the present (Bishop of Hyderabad Diocese) along with him Fr Victor John OFM. Later number of other diocesan priests namely Late Fr Rehmat Hakam, Fr Nasir Javid, Fr Anthan Ilyas, Fr Nasir William who served as an administrator of the holy Rosary Hospital. Oblates took over Holy Rosary Parish in 2016 from Fr Robin Anoosh and Fr. Willy during the time of Bishop Rufin Anthony. The first Oblate Parish priest is Fr Thyagan Fonsheka OMI with two assistants namely Fr Nasir Mehnga OMI and Fr Khaliq Saleem OMI. There are several groups Laskhr e Mariam, Youth Group and Sunday Schools which are rendering there volunteer services within the entire parish of Holy Rosary Gujrat.
